In Ibsen's classic drama Nora Helmer, trapped in life, frustratedly plays a frenetic tarantella on the piano as part of her closeted inner brooding and need for self expression. Recorded on a real upright piano with the performance purposely blocky and stilted ending in a keyboard slam. From the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park production in 1998. |
