This play by Craig Wright is set in rural Minnesota in the 1960s. An innocent couple gets a long-term visit from their 17-year old niece, Alison, recently pregnant by an absent sailor.

The original music is all piano and cello - with the later representing Alison and her deep angst - and the combination representing the ever-present Mollys Delicious apple, both tart and sweet.

"Snow" sets the tone for a cold snowy and still Minnesota morning.

"Alison's theme" represents the girl throughout.

The preshow is an edited compilation of 1960's songs to set time and place using the voice of a fictitious radio DJ. The music came from a radio on the front porch as the audience entered. The voice of the DJ is the show stagemanager - who just happened to be from Minnesota and a great voice actor. The voiceovers were created and improvised on the fly.
